James M. Devens

Age 65, passed away suddenly of a heart attack, Thursday, September 23, 2021. He was born on March 9, 1956, in Elmira, a son of the late Edward F. and Helen (Tomulinas) Devens. In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by his niece Lindsay Devens. Jim leaves his husband, Patiwat "Tong" Maiyodklang, brother and sister-law, Robert and Debra Devens of Ovid, NY, nephew, Michael Devens, along with several great- nieces, and nephews. Jim was a Master Cosmetologist and owner of New Dimensions Hair Salon for 45 years. He enjoyed golfing, cycling, traveling, and gardening. Family and friends are invited to McInerny Funeral Home, 502 W. Water Street, Elmira, on Tuesday, September 28, 2021, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations in Jim's name may be made to Most Holy Name of Jesus Parish, 1010 Davis Street, Elmira, NY 14901.
