Jack Marks

Age 59, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, August 19, 2018. Jack was born in Elmira a son of Mary Ellen (O'Connor) Marks and the late John M. Marks. Jack is also predeceased by his grandparents, John and Ellen O'Connor; uncle John O'Connor; aunt Patricia (Richard) Roemmelt ; and mother-in-law Barbara Bossert. In addition to his mother Jack is survived by his wife Margaret Bartkowski Marks; brothers, and their families: Peter M. And Kathleen Marks of New York City; John Michael and Linda Marks of Elmira, with daughters, Jessica Marks and Kathleen Gray; Stephen J. and Martha Marks of Madison MS, with daughters, Amanda Marks and Amy (Travis) Beals; David E. and Marilyn Marks of Big Flats, with daughter Meghan (Shane) Devlin; James E. and Kimberly Marks of Elmira, with children, Michael Manwaring, Jacquelyn (Bruce II) Hauver and Peter (Troy Bartosevich) Marks; father-in-law Raymond E. (Georgette) Bartkowski; sister-in-law, Beth Fleming of Horseheads with daughters, Kristina (Edward Dehaven) Fleming and Carissa (Brad Hauver) Fleming; brother-in-law Donald Fleming of Gillett PA; great-nephews and great-nieces, Milo, Monicah, Molly, Roland, Chloe, Maxine and Raedyn; several aunts, uncles, cousins, good friends and beloved fur baby, Molly Brown. Jack owned his own landscaping business, Mark's Landscaping, for thirty-five years. He then worked for five years at Gough Holding Corp. as a painter. Jack was a history buff. He liked watching war movies and westerns. His best times were with his family…especially with his beloved wife Margaret, and Molly Brown. A celebration of Jack's life will be held on Saturday, September 1, 2018 from 4:00 p.m. until……at the Elmira Hibernian Club, 701 Kinyon Street, Elmira NY.
