Irene Marie Williams

Age 98, passed away on Tuesday, May 17, 2022, in Schaghticoke NY. Irene was born in Braintrim Township PA a daughter of Tracey and Alice (Daly) Mace. She was predeceased by husband Wilford G. Williams; infant son Wilford Glenn Williams; daughters, Mary Alice Williams and Maureen Anne Williams McLaine; siblings, Robert T. Mace, Mary Catherine Mace Buffalin, Eugene E. Mace, Charles W. Mace and Tracey H. Mace. Irene is survived by daughter Cynthia "Cindy" Williams of Latham NY; son-in-law Mark McLaine of Hopewell Junction NY; brother and sister-in-law William F. and Virginia Mace of Montgomery AL; several nieces, nephews and godchildren.


Irene retired from St. Joseph's Hospital after many years of service. She had been a longtime communicant of Our Lady of Lourdes Church. Family and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian burial for Irene at St. Patrick's Church, 604 Park Place Elmira, on Tuesday, June 21, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. A livestream of the Mass will be available through the Facebook page for Most Holy Name of Jesus Parish (https://www.facebook.com/ElmiraCatholic). Committal prayers and interment will follow at St. Peter and Paul's Cemetery.
