Gwendolyn Fredo

Age 86, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on December 24th, 2017. Gwen was the daughter of Richard C. and Gwendolyn (Stinson) Robinson. She was predeceased by her son Christopher B. Fredo; sisters, Diane Robinson and Laura Robinson; and brother-in-law Joseph Fredo. Gwen is survived by her devoted husband Rocco A. Fredo ; daughter Deborah A. Fredo of Elmira with her daughter Alice J. Keita ; son Gregory S. Fredo with Sean Driscoll of Cambridge, MA ; son and daughter-in-law Douglas M. and Amber Fredo of Elmira with children, Lindsay (David) Hill, Sara (Jim) Gray and Jami (Edward Arrington, and his son Kamahree) Fredo ; Christopher’s sons, Michael (Allison Toriello) and Joseph (Ella Capone) Fredo; brother and sister-in-law Richard W. and Gina Cecil Robinson of St. James, NC; sister-in-law Mary Fredo of Elmira; daughter-in-law Elizabeth Hilfiger of Elmira; and great grandchildren, Brier, Anna, Hunter, River, Christopher and Juliana. Gwen graduated from Elmira Free Academy and earned a Bachelor’s degree from Elmira College. After raising her four children, Gwen worked for Marine Midland Bank and GST BOCES. Upon retirement, she and Rocco fulfilled their lifelong dream, spending nineteen years on beautiful Keuka Lake in the company of family and wonderful neighbors. In October, they joyfully celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary. Private family servies will be held.
