Gloria Kolb

8/28/27 - 8/27/15 Born the first daughter of Thomas and Helen Kolb, Gloria was a life-long resident of Elmira, the city she loved, living most of her life on the street she loved as well. After high school Gloria worked as an operator for NYTEL and remained with the phone company until she retired in the mid 80's. She lived with her parents and as they grew older, she cared tirelessly for them until they died 18 days apart. Gloria was a lover of animals and always had a four legged friend, Spider John was the most beloved of them all. She was predeceased by him and her parents, as well as all of her three siblings Tom, Marilyn and Larry. She is survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins and her best goat friend, three legged Elsa. In her last year, Gloria moved a few times finally landing back on Roe Ave., right where she wanted to be in the end. Now she will move one more time and rest next to her parents as she always intended in St. Peter and Paul's Cemetery. Friends are invited to a Mass of Christian Burial on Friday, September 4, 2015 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Patrick's Church in Elmira. In lieu of flowers, consider making a donation to a charity of your choice.
