Geraldine M. (Foster) Place

Age 81, passed away peacefully in Bangor ME on April 14, 2024. Jeri was born in Syracuse NY, the daughter of the late Everett and Bernese (Phillips) Foster. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her loving husband of 58 years, Joseph D. Place. She is survived by and will be dearly missed by her sons and daughter-in-law, Robert and Deborah Place of Newburg ME, and Scott Place of Elmira with his son Deven; brother and sister-in-law, Paul and Barb Foster of Fulton NY, Larry and Dawn Campany of Oswego NY; numerous nieces and nephews. Of all the jobs that Jeri had in the area over the years, she loved her last job the most working with the students at GST BOCES. Jeri really enjoyed the cruises she and Joe went on, especially the buffets! She spent many summers on Seneca Lake, camping at Clute Park. Numerous friends were made sitting around the campfire. Jeri was a proud member of the Daughters of the American Revolution. She was and will be immensely missed by all.

Family and friends are invited to Joseph’s and Geraldine’s graveside service on Wednesday, July 10, 2024, 11:00 a.m. in Fitzsimmons Cemetery. Military Honors will be accorded for Joe. Arrangements by McInerny Funeral Home.
