Geraldine Cartwright

Age 74, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, February 05, 2016 at the Arnot Ogden Medical Center with her loving family by her bedside. Jeri was born in Elmira NY, a daughter of the late Robert F. and Stella Winiecke O'Connor. She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Kenneth T. Cartwright; sons and daughters-in-law, Christopher and Marci Cartwright of Pine City with their daughters Rachael Cartwright (with Michael Martin) and Rebecca Cartwright (with Justin Benjamin); Keith and Jen Cartwright of Elmira with their sons Drew and Hunter Cartwright; sisters and brothers -in-law, Nancy and Mike Marrone, Kathy and Dave Shaw; sister-in-law, Cynthia Cartwright all of Elmira. Several nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of good friends. Jeri has worked for 30 plus years at Elmira Orthopedics. She loved to travel. Most importantly, she was a wonderful and loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother and friend. Family and friends are invited to McInerny Funeral Home, 502 W. Water St., Elmira on Tuesday, February 9, 2016 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, February 10, 2016 at 10:30 a.m. in St. Mary's Church, Elmira. Committal prayers and interment to follow at St. Peter and Paul's Cemetery. Those wishing may remember Jeri with a donation to a charity of one's choice.
