George Warren Strothmann

Of Big Flats

Age 89, passed away at Guthrie Corning Hospital on Friday, December 9, 2022. George was born in Queens NY, son of George and Helen (Rusch) Strothmann. He was predeceased by his wife Jean (Huntley) Strothmann and son Kenneth A. Strothmann. George is survived by his sons and daughters-in-law, George W. Jr. and Elizabeth Strothmann of Painted Post, Jeffrey S. and Bethann Strothmann of Middleport NY; five grandchildren.

George had worked for Corning Inc. for many years, retiring as a numerical control operator. He was an avid singer and was a former member of Common Time choral group. George enjoyed caning chairs and held caning classes at the Big Flats Community Center. He was a longtime active member of Big Flats United Methodist Church. Services will be held at a later date.
