Frederick Parisi

Age 66, passed away at home on Tuesday, December 3, 2024, after a long battle with cancer. Fred was born in Auburn NY, son of the late Vincent Parisi and Carol Hoff Parisi. He is survived by his daughter Nicole “Nikki” Matkosky with her daughter Harper; son James Wells; partner Gail Wells; step-son Matthew (Bre) Coon; brothers, Richard Parisi (Sarah), Vincent Parisi, Joe Parisi and Pat Parisi (Joanne); sisters, Joyce Harmon and Anne King; along with several nieces.

Fred had a variety of jobs over the years. His last employment was as a retail merchandising supervisor at Sam’s Club in Horseheads, NY. Fred was a strong, resilient, humble, and kind-hearted soul. He was known for his superior work ethic, compassion for other people and animals, and taking pride in EVERYTHING he did . He enjoyed staying active, doing things for other people, and spending time with family and friends. He was an unconditionally loving father and family man. Fred made the world a better place, and it will not be the same without him.

A celebration of Fred's life will be held for family and friends at a later date. Those wishing may remember Fred with a donation to Chemung County SPCA, 2435 County Route 352, Elmira NY 14903.
