Age 100, passed away on Saturday, March 21, 2026, at Bethany Manor in Horseheads. Pat was one of 10 children born to Jacob and Bessie (Springer) Bryan. She grew up on the family farm in Breesport NY. Pat is predeceased by her first husband Joseph Giammichele Sr.; second husband Ralph Sprague; son Anthony Giammichele; daughter-in-law Roxanne Giammichele; grandchildren, April Giammichele and Anthony Matteson. She is survived by sons, Joseph Giammichele Jr. and Nicholas (Sherry) Giammichele; daughter Rose “Ria” Giammichele; grandchildren, (all Giammichele’s), Kristina, Christopher (Joanne), Anthony (Mark), Thomas (Mary), Lee (Susan), Jerret (Kim), and Amy (Tim); great grandchildren (all Giammichele’s), Bryan, Jacob (MacKenzie), Caleb, Isabelle, Olivia, Chase, Zachary, Maizie and Ashley; great-great granddaughter Parker Giammichele; dear friend Phyllis Woodruff; many nieces and nephews.
Pat had many different careers over her life, but she was mostly known as a specialty cake decorator. Her hobbies included bingo, playing cards and casino trips. Pat loved to travel and had taken trips to Alaska, Australia, Hawaii and Africa. She was a devout Catholic and was a communicant of St. Anthony’s Church until its closing. Pat was a member of the Sacred Heart Ladies Society. She was a wonderful loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt and dear friend.
Family and friends are invited to call at McInerny Funeral Home, 502 W. Water St., Elmira, on Wednesday, March 25, 2026, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. A prayer service will be held there on Thursday, March 26, 2026, at 12:15 p.m. followed by a Mass of Chistian Burial at St. Mary’s Church, 224 Franklin Street, Elmira, at 1:00 p.m. Committal prayers and interment will follow at St. Peter & Paul’s Cemetery.
Flowers are graciously declined. Those wishing may remember Pat with a donation to Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center or a charity of your choice.
