Filomena Cicora

Filomena Ann Cicora (nee: Cappucci) Elmira: Age 90, passed away on Friday, December 28, 2012 at the Arnot Ogden Medical Center. Filomena was born April 12, 1922 the daughter of the late Roger and Louise Cappucci. Filomena was also predeceased by her husband Joseph J. Cicora. They wed while Joe was serving in World War II and were married for 48 years. Surviving are her children: Mary Louise (John) Wilbur, Elmira, Rosemary (Gabriel) Durkac, Kittanning, PA, Phyllis Duffy, Canajoharie, NY, Joseph (Kathleen) Cicora, Chicago, IL, Roger (Katherine) Cicora, Smyrna, GA. In addition she leaves her grandchildren, Jessica (Mark) Commenator, Jeremy Sullivan, William (Ginger) Duffy, Joseph Cicora, John Cicora; great-grandson Kevin Riley Duffy; sister-in-law Carolyn Moffe, several nieces, nephews, cousins and devoted friends; all of whom she had great affection. Filomena was a life time member of the "Young Ladies Society" and the "Sacred Heart Society" of St. Anthony's Church. Filomena wished there be no calling hours; and will be buried at a private family service. A Memorial Mass, celebrating her life, will be held on Saturday, February 2, 2013 at 11:30 a.m. at St. Patrick's Church, Elmira.
