Emma Jane Woodhouse, age 89, passed away peacefully on November 11, 2022.


Born December 11, 1932 in Elmira, NY to Roy and Viola Smith, Jane lived for many years in New Canaan, CT before moving to Cranston, RI.


She was predeceased by her husband, Edward J. Woodhouse of Elmira, NY and New Canaan, CT.


She is survived by her five children, Edward Woodhouse, Jr. and his wife Laurie of Wake Forest, NC, Reverend Thomas Woodhouse of Cranston, RI, Mary Woodhouse Parisi and her husband Francis of Cranston, RI, James Woodhouse and his wife Susan of Windermere, FL, and Christopher Woodhouse of Cranston, RI, as well as her 9 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.


Calling hours will be Thursday, November 17, 2022 from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm at McInerny Funeral Home in Elmira, NY, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Mary's Church in Elmira, NY on Friday, November 18, 2022 at 10:00 am.


A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at St. Paul Church, Cranston, RI on Saturday, December 10, 2022 at 11:00 am. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Jane's name to St. Paul Church, One Saint Paul Place, Cranston, RI 02905 or your favorite charity.
