Elsie Jean Grover

Age 90, passed away at the Arnot Ogden Medical Center on Thursday, October 27, 2022. Elsie was born and raised in Elmira a daughter of Merrill E. and Alice (White) Comfort. She is predeceased by her daughter Rayanne LaPrade-Stage, fiancé Clifford Baird, sister Mary Ellen Kidd, brother Kenneth Comfort and nephews, Gary Wilson, Kyle Comfort and Glenn Sawyer.

Elsie is survived by her grandsons, Jonathan (Lauren) LaPrade of New Jersy and Joshua LaPrade of New York City; sisters, Laura Sawyer of Mifflinburg PA and Roberta Riggan of Indian Harbor Beach Fl; along with several nieces and nephews.

Elsie was a graduate of Southside High School. She was a secretary at American LaFrance for many years, until the facility closed. She then went to work at St. Joseph's Hospital where she was part of the support staff until her retirement.

A private service was held.
