Elli Zimmerman

Our hearts are sad to say good-bye to our dearest Elli: wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She was a light in all of our lives. Elli was born in Blumberg, Germany, the daughter of Erich and Clara (Huebner) Walter. She is predeceased by her brother Kurt Walter. Elli is survived by her husband Lyle, with whom she would have celebrated 65 years of marriage on April 24th; daughter and son-in-law Annette K. and Dr. Francisco Corbalan of Elmira, with children, Emma Corbalan of Boston MA, and her husband Daniel Bielenin , and Dr. Francisco "Paco" Corbalan of Middlebury VT; son and daughter-in-law Peter E. and Theresa Zimmerman, and sons, Eric and John Zimmerman, all of Colleyville TX; brother and sister-in-law Heinz and Rita Walter of Leipzig, Germany; brother-in-law and sister-in-law Roy and Elizabeth Zimmerman of Canton GA; sisters-in-law and brother-in-law, Janet and Robert Redman of St. Johns MI, Joan Zimmerman of Muskegon MI; along with numerous nieces and nephews. A celebration of Elli's life will be held on Tuesday, April 19, 2016, 12:00 noon, First Presbyterian Church, 1054, W. Clinton Street, Elmira, with Reverend Betsey R. Crimmins officiating.
