Ella Mae Howard Personius

Elmira: Age 90, passed away on Friday, November 21, 2025 at Elderwood of Hornell. She was born and raised in Erin NY a daughter of Lester and Jenny (Lovell) Howard. In addition to her parents she is predeceased by husband John Personius, infant son, brother Eugene (Nilda), sisters, Eleanor (Ben) Nichols, Shirley Ennis, Carol (Bob) Cau, son-in-law David Welch, brother-in-law Kirk (Polly) Personius, sister-in-law Debra (James) McTiernan, along with several nieces and nephews.

Ella is survived by her daughters, Kathleen, Janet, Marlene and Beverly; grandchildren, Loren (Kari) Delahunty, Elizabeth (Preston) Shealy, Conor (Lauren) Twiss, Joseph (Alexandra) Twiss, Molly Twiss, Adam (Monique) Welch, Cory (Tonie Marie) Welch; seven great-grandchildren, with one on the way any day; several nieces, nephews and friends.

Family and friends are invited to call at McInerny Funeral Home, 502 W. Water Street, Elmira on Wednesday, November 26, 2025 from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon. A funeral service will follow at 12:00 noon. Committal prayers and interment will then take place at Woodlawn Cemetery.
