Elizabeth Von Roth

Age 90, born in Hof, Bavaria, Germany February 18, 1926 joined her beloved husband Fritz on May 26, 2016. Liz had been in declining health and lived with her daughter and son-in-law Phyllis & John Overton who cared for her the past three years. She is also survived by daughters, Ingrid Rogler (Tom) of Tunkhannock, PA and Ilene Kerins (Ron Dwinell) of Butler, PA; eight grandchildren, Brandi Spease (DJ) and Tracy Kerins (Rob) of CA, Carl (Terri) and Erica Rogler (Omar Comacho) of PA, Mike Overton (Heather) of Elmira, Katie Lowe (Eddy) and Julie O'Rourke (Brett) of Big Flats; and 10 great grandchildren whose smiles lit up her declining years. Liz came to the United States in 1947 and honored her German heritage, but was very proud to be an American. She enjoyed her family, working around her castle on Glen Ave. and her pets. She earned her angel's wings in many ways during life, especially in raising her three girls. Then caring for her beloved husband Fritz during the 10 years she walked with him through the darkness of Alzheimer's. At her request there will be no calling hours and interment will be private. Memorials may be offered to Tanglewood Nature Center, 443 Coleman Avenue, Elmira NY 14903, where she volunteered for many years.
