Eileen Morich

Elmira Heights: Age 86, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 8, 2014 at the Arnot Ogden Medical Center. Eileen was born in Elmira on February 15, 1928 a daughter of William and Mollie (Hourihan) Guinane. She was predeceased by her husband Metro Morich, sisters, Helen Constantine, Anna Wilkins, Kathleen Lynch and Madeline Weale, brother William Guinane. Eileen is survived by her children, Frank Morich, with Jolynn Curren, of Horseheads, Molly A. Knott, with husband Charles, of Elmira Heights, William Morich, with Alice Hanbury, of Horseheads; grandchildren, Jamie (Chris Reynard) Knott, Nicole Knott, Alex Morich, Anthony (Heather Vandeusen) Morich and Nicholas Morich; great-grandchildren Jacob Reynard and Maxwell Morich; sisters, Patricia Hallinan and Mary Guinane both of Elmira; brother and sisters-in-law, John and Bruna Guinane of Connecticut, Marguerite Guinane of Clifton Park NY; several nieces and nephews. Eileen was a lifetime member of the Ladies Division of the Ancient Order of Hibernians. Her greatest joy was her family. She dedicated her life to her husband, children and grandchildren. There was no better wife, mother or grandmother. At Eileen's request there will be no calling hours. Friends are invited to a Mass of Christian Burial on Friday, April 11, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. in St. Charles Borromeo Church, Elmira Heights. Private burial will follow at St. Peter & Paul's Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations in memory of Eileen may be directed to St. Jude's Children's Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis TN 38105.
