Edward J. Miller Age 91, of Bradenton, FL, formerly of Elmira, died at his Florida home, with his loving wife by his side on Sunday, October 24, 2010. Edward was born December 19, 1918, a son of Edward J. and Catherine (Flynn) Miller. He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Gloria Smith Miller; son, Michael E. Miller of New Orleans, LA; grandchildren, Michael, Jr. and Theresa Miller; great grandchildren; sisters and brother-in-law, Eleanor Coughlin, Rose Alice and Clair Dunlap, all of Elmira; along with numerous nieces and nephews. Edward retired from the Erie Lackawanna railroad in 1975 with 36 years of service. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II. Edward was a member of the Elmira Elks, Penn Yan Moose Lodge #2030, and the John Costello American Legion Post #355 in Penn Yan. Family and friends are invited to attend a memorial service at McInerny Funeral Home, corner of W. Water and Walnut Sts., on Wednesday, June 8, 2011 at 12:00 noon. Military honors will be accorded to Edward at the conclusion of the service.
