Edward James Karski

November 22, 1935 — June 6, 2022

Age 86, passed away Monday, June 6, 2022 at Corning Hospital. Ed was born in Elmira, a son of John and Katherine Mazur Karski. He is survived by Patricia Peppard Karski, his loving wife of 45 years; daughter Susan Karski of Elmira; brothers and sisters-in-law, John "Jack" and Ann Karski of Elmira, Richard "Dick" and Judith Karski of Horseheads, Thomas "Tom" and Marilyn Karski of Elmira. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews.

Ed was a 1953 graduate of Elmira Free Academy. He was a U.S. Army veteran serving from 1958 to 1960. Ed was a retired machinist from Shepard Niles in Montour Falls. He was a car and train enthusiast. Most importantly, he was a loving husband, father, brother and uncle.

Family and friends are invited to call at McInerny Funeral Home, 502 W. Water St., Elmira, on Tuesday, June 14, 2022 from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. A funeral service will follow at 2:00 p.m. Committal prayers will take place at Woodlawn National Cemetery.
