Edward Fisher

Age 88, of Elmira passed away peacefully at the Arnot Ogden Medical Center on Sunday, February 26, 2017. Edward was born in Syracuse NY on January 27, 1929. He was a graduate of Syracuse University and was a licensed architect. He is survived by his wife Sandra Brescia Fisher; sisters-in-law and brother-in-law, Concetta Brescia, Carmen Fusco, Rita and Joseph Sartori. He is also survived by nephews, Joseph, Paul and David Sartori, Steven Fusco; nieces, Barbara Grau, Ann Brazinski and Linda Waldbum. Edward was a devout Catholic and served his parishes in Syracuse and in Florida as a Lector, Eucharistic Minister and sang in the choirs. He was also a Lieutenant in the National Guard. After leaving Syracuse, Edward and Sandra lived in Florida for twenty years before coming to live in Elmira in 2005. Family and friends are invited to a Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of Lourdes Church, 1100 W. Church Street, Elmira, on Monday, March 6, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. Committal prayers and interment will follow at St. Peter and Paul's Cemetery.
