Duane Alan Wilcox

Pine City: Age 78, passed away on Wednesday, August 27, 2025, at Arnot Ogden Medical Center. Duane was born in Waverly NY, a son of the late Duane O. and Marvis (Whyte) Wilcox.

He is survived by his wife Catherine Bottcher Wilcox; son Terry W. Wilcox of Wellsburg; daughter Kelly J. Wilcox of Pine City; sister Bonnie A. Mullen of Riverside CA; brother and sister-in-law David N. and Jamie Wilcox of Erin NY; along with several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Duane was a graduate of Athens High School, where he was a member of the Athens football team. He then went on to Corning Community College, where he received his associate’s degree. Duane was a US Army veteran, serving from 1968-1970. He and Cathy were co-owners of the Convenient Food Mart in West Elmira for many years. Duane had a great sense of humor and was loved by all who knew him.

Duane’s service will be held on Friday, September 5, 2025 at the Bridge Wesleyan Church, 561 Maple Street in Big Flats, at 3:00 p.m. Military honors will be accorded outside of the church at the conclusion of the service.
