Dorothy Hilfiger

Age 66 of Southbury CT and Elmira, passed away on Friday, April 27, 2018, at her home in CT, after a long, courageous 40 year battle with MS. Susie was born and raised in Elmira, a daughter of the late Richard and Virginia (Gerrity) Hilfiger. In addition to her parents she is predeceased by her brother Billy. Susie was a graduate of Elmira College and the Arnot Ogden School of Nursing, Class of 1980. She loved photography, walking her dog Willis, playing Scrabble with her friends, enjoying the ponds at her home in CT, and she was an avid book reader. One of Susie's fondest times was her 18 month stay in Lake Tahoe. Susie is survived by her brothers and sisters-in-law, Tommy and Dee of Greenwich CT, Bobby and Joann of New Windsor NY, Andy and Kim of Larchmont NY, Karla of NYC; sisters, Kathy of NYC, Betsy of Elmira, Marie of Denver CO, and Ginny of Short Hills NJ; along with many nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family. There will be no calling hours. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held for Susie on Wednesday, May 9, 2018, 11:00 a.m., St. Patrick's Church, Elmira. Interment, with committal prayers, will follow at St. Peter and Paul's Cemetery.
