Dorlene Rosplock

Age 76, of Elmira, passed away at her home on Wednesday, July 19, 2017, surrounded by her loving family. Dorlene was born in Elmira a daughter of the late Louis and Betty (McConnell) Fossaceca. In addition to her parents she is predeceased by her sister Carol Fossaceca, brother Louis Fossaceca and father-in-law and mother-in-law, Bernard C., Sr. and Rose (Dobranski) Rosplock. Dorlene is survived by her loving husband of 55 years Bernard C. Rosplock, Jr.; children, with their families, Keith B. and Valerie Rosplock of Elmira with son Tyler; Christine M. and Robert Shepard of Painted Post with children, Erica and Robert; Kyle L. and Jennifer Rosplock of Elmira Heights with daughters, Emily and Kelcie; brother and sister-in-law, James and Jenny Fossaceca of Sarasota FL; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Margaret Fossaceca of Elmira, Gerald and Helen Rosplock of Endwell NY, Kathleen and Gregory Naughton of The Villages FL, Kenneth and Cindy Rosplock of Raleigh NC; along with several nieces and nephews. Dorlene was a 1959 EFA graduate and was a graduate of Elmira College where she received her teaching degree. She was retired from Holy Family Catholic Schools after 30 years as a 5th grade teacher. Dorlene was a recipient of the Golden Apple Outstanding Teacher award. She was a long time communicant of Our Lady of Lourdes Church. Time spent with her family was most important to Dorlene. Family and friends are invited to McInerny Funeral Home, 502 W. Water Street, Elmira, on Sunday, July 23, 2017 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. A prayer service will be held at the funeral home on Monday, July 24, 2017 at 9:15 a.m., followed by a 10:00 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of Lourdes Church, officiated by Father Lew Brown.
