Donald Cantando

Age 67, passed away peacefully at home on Monday, June 19, 2017. Don was born in Elmira a son of the late Dominic and Philomena (Vendetti) Cantando. He is survived by daughter and son-in-law Kelly and John Beuttenmuller of Gainesville FL with their newborn son Carden Nicolas; daughter Alexis Cantando of Carlisle PA; brother and sister-in-law Ronald and Roseanne Cantando of Elmira; sisters and brothers-in-law Mary and Michael Park of Horseheads, Lucy and George "Bud" Kibbe of Millport NY; several nieces and nephews; along with his extended family at Mimi's Lounge. Donny was retired from the Elmira Star Gazette. He was an avid card player and life-long NY Yankee fan….always up for a good time! Donny was a private man and lived a simple life. He had a generous heart, never thinking twice about helping someone out. Donny was loved more than he will ever know. He's probably playing a round of golf with his little buddy "Snake" right now. At the family's request private services will be held.
