Dian Gibson

Age 79, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by her loving family, on Monday, August 14, 2017. Dian was born in Kettering, England, daughter of the late Ivor Evans and Dorothy Tate. She is also predeceased by her step father Jim Tate; husband Bill Gibson; and daughter Dona Gibson Fitzgerald. Dian is survived by daughters, Leigh Gibson Roberts with husband Scott, Denise Gibson with partner Carol, all of Elmira; grandson Preston Fitzgerald Roberts of Cleveland Heights OH; brothers and sisters-in-law, Neal and Denise Tate, Nick and Ann Evans; nephew James Tate; niece Ellie Tate all of England; life-long loving best friend Jeanne Kraft of Elmira. Dian is also survived by her canine companions, Pepi, Vinnie and Dani whom she loved dearly. Dian was raised in England and came to the United States at the age of 17 after meeting her husband Bill who was stationed there while in the military. Dian and Bill owned the Steak Shop in Elmira for 17 years. She also worked at Carozza's Travel and Four Seasons Travel. Dian loved music, playing the piano, gardening, tennis and bird watching. As per Dian's request there will be no services.
