David L. Ferriter

Age 73, passed away at the Arnot Ogden Medical Center on Monday, June 28, 2021. David was born in Utica NY, a son of the late Joseph S. and G. Norma (Schrader) Ferriter. He is survived by his sons, Erich Ferriter, with wife Samantha, of Lowman, Jason Ferriter, with Liz Wilson, of Wellsburg, Richard Ferriter of Lowman, and Joseph Ferriter of Elmira; special granddaughter Annalyse Ferriter; grandsons, Jacob, Jared, Davin, Oliver and Wally Ferriter; brothers and sisters-in-law, Joseph and Lois Ferriter of Honeoye Falls, NY, Herbert and Diane Ferriter of Syracuse NY; sister Elizabeth Forsythe of Big Flats; special friends Christine Duvall, Chip Posse and Bubba. Also surviving are several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. David was a Vietnam veteran serving with the US Air Force from 1967-1971. He had worked at the Town of Baldwin Highway Department for 24 years and retired as the Highway Superintendent. David was an active member of the Baldwin Volunteer Fire Department for over 40 years. Family and friends are invited to McInerny Funeral Home, 502 W. Water Street, Elmira, on Thursday, July 1, 2021, from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. A funeral service will follow at 6:15 p.m. Military honors will follow the funeral service. At David's request, please attend his services in casual attire, no coats or ties!!
