Daniel J. Grimins

Daniel Joseph Grimins Sr. Doting husband of 28 years, beloved father and grandfather passed away on July 27, 2026 following a courageous battle against Congestive Heart Failure and a rare and aggressive cancer.

Daniel is predeceased by his mother, Audrey F. Grimins of Corning, NY, and his infant daughter Elizabeth Kia Grimins. Daniel is survived by his father Daniel E. Grimins of Corning; his devoted wife Kelly J. (Milosek)of Elmira; his children Daniel J. Grimins Jr. (wife Caytlyn), Rachel Morris, Autumn Grimins, Dylan Grimins and Owen Grimins; his grandchildren Kaylin Morris, Logan Morris, Jack Grimins and Joanna Grimins; his sisters Sue Walker, Debbie Peskin and Stacy Grimins; his first wife Jill Brockus (Abraham); and his many nieces and nephews.

Daniel was known as The Baby Whisperer in his wife's daycare, a position he loved and cherished. He was a fine woodworker and an aquarium and reptile enthusiast. He enjoyed playing chess with his children. Daniel also enjoyed cooking for his family and friends as well as being a thoughtful shopper and gift giver. You could always find him in his chair, shop, or on the porch watching the birds. He had a fabulous sense of humor and would put a smile on everyone's face making them feel loved and welcome.
