Daniel Carlineo

Geneva NY: Age 63, passed away peacefully at Geneva General Hospital on December 28, 2017. Danny was born on February 25, 1954, in Elmira, the son of the late Paul and Lena Carlineo. Born with Down Syndrome, he was not given much hope of survival. Thanks to the loving care of his parents, Danny thrived and grew into an outgoing individual. He is survived by his sisters, Mary Joan (John) Le Claire and Paula Edelmann, along with several nieces, nephews and friends. He is also survived by George and Sherrie Jensen with whom he resided for six years after his father's death. Dan was involved with the ARC since he was a young boy. Calling hours will be held at McInerny Funeral Home, 502 W. Water Street, Elmira, on Wednesday, January 3, 2018 from 12:00 noon to 1:30 p.m. A funeral service will follow at 1:30 p.m. Interment, with committal prayers will then take place at St. Peter and Paul's Cemetery.
