Cynthia B. Myers, née Cynthia Booth, age 70, passed away Saturday, July 9, 2016, at home surrounded by her family after a three-year battle with cancer. She worked briefly both at Elmira College and Mark Twain Travel. In 1977, she married Lewis Crary Myers, Jr. Thereafter, she worked as an employment agent at Affiliated Employment Services of Elmira. She was also a proud and generous foster parent, as well as the unofficial patron saint of teenagers and other rebellious souls. She is survived by her husband, Lewis Crary Myers, Jr., of Elmira; by her son, Lewis Crary Myers III, and his wife Maria Myers, of Elmira; by her daughter, Laura Myers and her wife Kathryn Perryman of Kenmore, New York, as well as their son, Samuel Myers; by her sister, Esther Zorn and her husband Thomas Zorn, of Syracuse, New York, as well as their children; by her brother-in-law, Charles Myers and his wife Mary Myers, of Custer, South Dakota, as well as their children; and by her foster daughters, Katie Spahalski and Mary Jo Stetson, both of Elmira.
