Charles D. Payne

Age 61, passed away unexpectedly August 27, 2021. He was born in Sayre, PA on August 12, 1960, to Gerald Howard Payne and Julia Jane Manuel Payne. He attended Waverly High School, graduating in 1978. Chuck joined the United States Army in 1982, serving until his honorable discharge in 1986. He earned his Armed Services Ribbon/Overseas Ribbon and M-16 Rifle Expert. Upon returning home to the Waverly NY area he worked at Leprino's, and Hardinge Brothers, Inc. Chuck also delivered the Star Gazette for several years. At the time of his death, he was employed by Trayer Products as a machinist. On March 18, 1989, Chuck married Mary Catherine Kaczmarek of Duke Center PA who survives, along with their daughter Carolyn Ann Payne of Erie Pa. Several brothers, sisters, nieces, and nephews who share in the sorrow of his passing. Memorial services will be held privately by his family.
