Cathleen J. Rice

Elmira: Age 49, passed away on Thursday, June 16, 2022 at the Arnot Ogden Medical Center. Cathy was born and raised in Elmira a daughter of Constance “Connie” Daugherty and the late James Daugherty. In addition to her mother she is survived by husband Jason W. Rice; son and daughter-in-law Stephen B. Storch, Staff Sgt. US Marine Corps and Breanna Storch of Pine City, with their children Cade and Bennett; daughter Lilly M. Rice; brothers and their families, James and Tara Daugherty of Elmira with daughters, Hannah, Ellie and Olivia, Christopher and Heather Daugherty with sons, Jeffrey and Zach; mother-in-law Sally Rice of Myrtle Beach SC; father-in-law and mother-in-law William and Judy Rice of Breesport NY; brother-in-law Geoffery Rice of Asheboro NC, with son Christian Stone; along with many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Family and friends are invited to McInerny Funeral Home, 502 W. Water Street, Elmira, on Wednesday, June 22, 2022 from 5:30 p.m. to 7:15 p.m. A funeral service will follow at 7:30 p.m. with Deacon George Welch officiating. Interment will be at St. Peter & Paul’s Cemetery on Thursday, June 23, 2022 at 10:00 a.m.
