Borghild Skidmore

Borghild Margaret Skidmore Elmira: Age 86, passed away on Thursday, January 24, 2013 at St. Joseph's Hospital, surrounded by her loving family. Margaret was born February 4, 1926 in Bergen, Norway the daughter of Cornelius and Martha (Okland) Olsen. Her husband Willis J. Skidmore predeceased her in 1969. Margaret is survived by her daughter Barbara Skidmore, Elmira; son and daughter-in-law, Arthur and Susan Skidmore, Elmira; grandchildren, Eric Skidmore with wife Jennifer and children, Seanna, Samara and Neil, Lowman; Emily Coletta with husband Joel, Elmira. Margaret was a school photographer working in Long Island, NY prior to coming to Elmira to be near her children. Active in the community she was a volunteer with the Food Bank and Community Kitchen. Margaret enjoyed gardening, writing poems, traveling, and walking the beaches in New Jersey. A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, February 4, 2013 at 12:00 noon at Bethany Lutheran Church, 256 S. Walnut Street, Elmira. This day would have been Margaret's 87th birthday.
