Age 88, passed away at her home on Monday, August 8, 2016, with her family by her side. Betty was born in Orviston PA, a daughter of Rosie (Packer) and George Hahn. She is predeceased by her husband Harold H. Stone, Sr.; sons, Harold H. Stone, Jr. and Norman Pysher II; brothers: Harold Hahn and George Hahn, Jr.; sisters: Verna Balliet, Doris Patt and Allison Lagana; and son-in-law Arthur Schmidt, Jr. Betty is survived by her daughters: Constance M. Kappesser, and her husband Philip, of Church Hill TN, Shirley J. Schmidt of Westfield PA, and Cynthia A. Stone of Raleigh NC; daughter-in-law Sonia Pysher of Nottingham PA; grandchildren: Lauri Kappesser, Jennifer (Brian) Sorensen, Heather (Damon) Smith, Megan (Dennis) Derr, Harold (Kaylee Sterling) Stone III; great-grandchildren: George, Brenden, Andrew and Marissa Smith; Riley and Colin Derr, and Aaleigha Stone; sister Fay Randall of Williamsport PA; along with several nieces, nephews and friends. Betty and her husband, Harold, owned and operated Elmira Radiator Service for over 40 years. She enjoyed boating, shopping, arts and craft and was a avid lover of dogs. Betty enjoyed sitting on her front porch and watching the people and traffic go by. Her family was the most important part of Betty's life. Friends are invited to McInerny Funeral Home, 502 W. Water Street, Elmira, on Thursday, August 11, 2016 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. A funeral service will be held there on Friday, August 12, 2016, 11:30 a.m., with Chaplain Meredith Tifft officiating. Interment will follow in Woodlawn National Cemetery.
