Barbara Ginter

Age 83 of Elmira, passed away peacefully at St. Joseph’s Hospital on Monday, August 29, 2016. Barbara was born in Greensburg PA a daughter of the late Harold and Edna (Fath) Watson. She was predeceased by her husband Robert Ginter and seven brothers and sisters. Barbara is survived by children, Marie Butcher and husband Robert Butcher of Elmira with their children Emily Butcher (Clifford Georges) and Jonathon Butcher (Kaili Evans); Paul Ginter with Jennifer Savino of Elmira and his daughter Morgan Ginter; William Ginter and wife Margaret Ginter of Sunrise FL with their children, Lee and Megan Ginter; Judith Ginter of Elmira with son Robert Godlewski; great grandchildren, Elise, Luc, Kendall and Khloe; also surviving are several nieces and nephews. Barbara was a 61 year resident of Country Club Drive in Elmira. She was a long time communicant of Our Lady of Lourdes Church. Barbara enjoyed working in her garden growing both plants and vegetables. While her children were growing up she was a Cub Scout den mother and a member of Our Lady of Lourdes School Mothers Club. Family and friends are invited to call at McInerny Funeral Home, 502 W. Water Street, Elmira on Friday, September 2, 2016 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Our Lady of Lourdes Church on Saturday, September 3, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. Committal prayers and interment will take place Monday, September 5, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at Woodlawn National Cemetery.
