Arthur Paul Taylor

Elmira: Age 94, passed away at the Arnot Ogden Medical Center on February 16, 2023. Art was born in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania, son of Arthur and Gertrude (Silverstein) Taylor. He is predeceased by his wife, Theresa Madeline Taylor, and his sister, Lavonne Marie Taylor. Art is survived by his children, Dianne L. Taylor of Elmira, Sandra J. (David) Peary of Elmira, and Arthur Phillip (Sarah L.) Taylor of Freeville, New York. He is further survived by his four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Art retired from Corning Glass Works in 1990 where he worked as a machine operator for forty years. In retirement Art volunteered a substantial amount of his time to the Booth Elementary School and Arnot Ogden Memorial Hospital. His surviving family wishes to offer their heartfelt thanks to the staff of the Chemung County Skilled Nursing Facility, for their kindness and compassion in Art's final years. Private services will be held.
