Van Alstine, Arthur William "Snuck" Age 80, passed away May 24, 2014 with his loving family by his side. Born August 22, 1933, to Arthur B. & Edith Middaugh Van Alstine, Art retired after 40 years at Westinghouse, was a Korean War veteran, a member of the American Legion and a lifetime member of the Golden Glow Volunteer Fire Co. Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Marjorie Peterson Van Alstine, children, Debbie Burgey, Brenda (John) Belmonte and Wendy (Bill) Bailey; grandchildren, Luke and Jesse Burgey, Emily and Josh Belmonte, sisters-in-law, Verna Baldwin, Judy (Rich) Hurley, Irene (Molly McClintock) Peterson, Barb Peterson, Marlene Peterson, Barbara (Wood) Peterson; several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by brother, Robert Van Alstine (Char Wilkinson), brothers-in-law, Ken Peterson, Wayne Peterson, Glen "Butch" Peterson, Edward Baldwin, Sr., nephews, Edward Baldwin, Jr. and Gregory Klub. It was Art's wish that there be no public service. Burial will be held at the Woodlawn Nation Cemetery at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers please make a donation in Art's memory to a charity of your choice.
