Anthony Negri Jr.

"Tony" Age 62, of Elmira, passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, July 18, 2015, surrounded by his loving family, after a long battle with Multiple Myeloma. Tony was born in Corning NY on September 24, 1952 a son of Anthony P., Sr. and Mary (Breon) Negri of Corning. In addition to his parents Tony is survived by his wife of 39 years Lori (Crumb) Negri; brother and sister-in-law Dennis and Carol Negri of Big Flats; father-in-law and mother-in-law Willie and Gloria Crumb of Pine City; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, David Crumb of Horseheads NY, Darcy and Marty Mucci of Rochester, Debra and Dr. Robert Quigley of Philadelphia; nephews, Nicholas and Brenton Mucci, Alex Crumb, Andrew Quigley; niece Lola Quigley; special friend Dean "Mark" Smith; many beloved aunts, uncles and cousins. He was predeceased by his grandparents and many special aunts and uncles. Tony grew up in Corning and was a graduate of Corning West High School. He had a 31 year career at Corning Incorporated and retired as plant manager of the Big Flats plant where he touched many lives. Tony was a lover of animals and is also survived by his cat Dexter. He loved to travel, cook and, most importantly, spend time with family. Family and friends are invited to McInerny Funeral Home on Thursday, July 23, 2015 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, July 24, 2015 at 10:30 a.m. at Our Lady of Lourdes Church, Elmira.
