Age 96, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 22, 2017 in Reno NV. Anne was born in Boston MA, a daughter of Florence and Elizabeth (MacDonald) Curley. She was the last surviving of 8 children. Anne was also predeceased by her husband Joseph W. Stadelmaier. She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Bunny and Tom Power of Libertyville IL with their children, Chris (Dagny) Power, Tim (Rob Feller) Power and Ellen (Gary) Tousingnant; Joanne Lucas of Bradenton FL with her children, John (Alana) Lucas and Jennifer (Brady) Smoot; Jeanne and Ray Conrad of Casey Key FL with their daughter Sarah (Matt) Robbins; sons and daughter-in-law, Joseph W. Stadelmaier, Jr. of New York City; and Bob and Monica Stadelmaier of Elmira; sister-in-law Martha Hurd of Elmira. Also surviving are ten great grandchildren; along with numerous nieces and nephews. Anne worked as a secretary for the Chemung County Health Department for many years. She had been a long time communicant of St. Mary's Church in Elmira. After retirement Anne lived in the Columbia SC area, then Sarasota FL area before finally moving to Reno NV. While in South Carolina she volunteered as a senior educator, helping 4th graders learn about Egypt. She also volunteered at Palmetto Health Hospice. Anne travelled extensively in Europe, Asia and Egypt. For the last two decades Anne was the matriarch of the Stadelmaier and Curley families. Family and friends are invited to St. Mary's Church, 224 Franklin St., Elmira, on Friday, April 7, 2017 from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 12:00 noon. Committal prayers and interment will follow at St. Peter and Paul's Cemetery.
