Elmira: On June 14, 2024 the Lord gently enfolded his daughter Anna in His arms and carried her to her Heavenly home. Anna was born in Dravosburg PA a daughter of Henry and Alice (Fisher) Klein. She is predeceased by her husband Herbert F. James, son Daniel F. James, daughter and son-in-law Mary and Terry Sheehan, brothers and sisters-in-law, William and Frances Klein, Thomas and Faye Klein, sisters and brothers-in-law Dorothy and Randall Irwin, Margaret and Anthony Gabauer, Cleta and Anthony Jarzombek.
Anna is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Nancy Butler, Kathleen and Nicholas Frisk, Karen and Jim Osborn, Margaret and Tim Sullivan, all of Elmira; sons and daughters-in-law, James H. and Jackie James of Batesville IN, Charles H. and Lisa James of Little Rock AK; along with many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Anna was a communicant of St. Mary’s Church, Southside. A special loving woman who will be missed more than words can express, Anna was deeply loved by her family and friends and, with her passing, she takes a piece of our hearts.
Family and friends are invited to Anna’s Mass of Christian Burial to be held on Wednesday, June 19, 2024, 1:00 p.m., at St. Mary’s Church, 224 Franklin Street, Elmira. Private interment will take place at St. Peter & Paul’s Cemetery.
Flowers will be provided by Anna’s family. If desired, a donation in Anna’s memory may be made to Parish of the Most Holy Name of Jesus, 1010 Davis Street, Elmira NY 14901, or to a charity of one’s choice. Arrangements by McInerny Funeral Home.
