Anna Marie Dlugokinski

Elmira: Passed away peacefully, at the age of 97, on Thursday, September 23, 2021 at St. Joseph's Hospital SNF where she had resided since September 2013. Anna Marie was born and raised in Elmira the daughter of John Walter and Frances (Nowayczk) Dlugokinski. Her brother Aloysius "Al" Dlugokinski predeceased her. Anna Marie is survived by her much loved goddaughters, Carolyn E. Antoniw with husband Steve Patkos and their daughter Brittany of CA, Nicole M. (Martin) Ostapowicz of Morris PA, Sophia M. (Frank) Levindoski of Wellsboro PA and Rosemary (Thomas) Robinson of Pittsburgh PA; along with several cousins. Anna Marie was a graduate of Elmira Catholic High, Class of 1942. She retired from Western Union where she was a supervisor. After her retirement, she worked part time at Sears. Anna Marie was a volunteer at the Arnot Ogden Medical Center and a long-time communicant of St. Casimir's Church, where she was a former member of the Rosary and Sacred Heart Society. The best years of her life were when she took care of her godchildren. Friends are invited to a Mass of Christian Burial for Anna Marie on Monday, September 27, 2021 at 10:00 a.m., St. Mary's Church, 224 Franklin Street, Elmira. Interment, with committal prayers, will follow at St. Peter & Paul's Cemetery.
