Anna Calveric

Age 96, passed away peacefully surrounded by family, on Tuesday, July 24, 2018 at the Chemung County Nursing Facility. Anna was born in Benton IL the daughter of Josef and Agnes (Tylka) Marusarz. She was predeceased way too soon by her beloved husband George J. Calveric in 1968; and brothers, Andy Marusarz and John Mars. Anna is survived by her daughters and son-in-law, Barbara R. Calveric of Cambridge MA, and Karen R. Calveric of Elmira with her husband Eric Johnson; son and daughter-in-law, Michael J. and Julie Calveric of Elmira; grandchildren, with their families, Alyssa and Marc Riley, with sons, Evan, Cameron, Owen and Hayden; Michael S. and Kerri Calveric, with daughter, Kayla; Matthew G. and Barbara Jo Calveric, with son Sebastian; Alexandra D. and Jason Peworchik, with daughter Charlotte; and very special cousin Virginia Lott of Montour Falls. Anna was a loving, kind, sweet person who always put the needs of others before herself. Her family was her life and she was a wonderful, giving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She will be greatly missed for her warm smile and her sweet personality by all who knew her. There will be no calling hours. The Funeral Divine Liturgy will be held for Anna on TUESDAY, AUGUST 14, 2018, 10:00 a.m., St. Nicholas Ukrainian Catholic Church, 410 E. McCann's Boulevard, Elmira Heights NY. All are welcome. Interment will follow at St. Nicholas Cemetery. The family would like to thank the sixth floor staff of the Chemung County Nursing Facility for their kindness, compassion and professionalism in taking care of Anna while she was in residence.
