Ann Seymour

Age 98, of Corning, formerly of Elmira, passed away on Wednesday, August 12, 2015. Ann was born in Ohio on November 28, 1916, a daughter of John and Catherine (Romance) Machuga. She was predeceased by her husband, Merton L. Seymour; daughter, Mary Ann Kelly; sister, Helen Stethers; brothers, Andrew, Steve, John, Joseph and Nicholas. Ann is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Philip L. and Mary Frances Seymour with whom she resided the last 12 years; sister, Catherine Wright of Horseheads; son-in-law, Walter Kelly (Carolyn Spencer) of Elmira; grandchildren, Patrick (Kelly) Seymour of Philadelphia PA, Debra (Terry) Bola of Hawaii, Kim Hollenbeck (Jim Bailey) of Elmira; great grandchildren, Kristen (Mason) Hensley, Lauren (Ben) Jones, Matthew Bola, Kelby Hollenbeck (Josh Timmerman), Connor Hollenbeck; great-great grandchildren, Delaney, Bailey, Levi, Vincent, Charlotte, Emma and Colin; several nieces and nephews. Ann worked for 28 years at Remington Rand. After her retirement, she was especially dedicated to the role of helping in raising her grandchildren. She was a homemaker extraordinaire. Ann was a longtime communicant of St. Charles Borromeo Church. Family and friends are invited to McInerny Funeral Home, 502 W. Water Street, Elmira, on Friday, August 14, 2015 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Charles Borromeo Church, 130 Oakwood Avenue, Elmira Heights, on Saturday, August 15, 2015 at 10:30 a.m. Committal prayers and interment will take place at Woodlawn Cemetery.
