Ann Lewish Cassidy

Age 92, passed away Thursday, May 4, 2017, at the Chemung County Nursing Facility. Ann was born and raised in Elmira, a daughter of Gregory and Tekla (Dmytriw) Lewish. She is predeceased by her husband Jacque E. Cassidy, granddaughter Jennifer L. Mustico, sisters, Anastasia Lewish, Mary Sullivan, Helen Covey and brothers, Michael, Andrew, Peter, Paul, Daniel and William Lewish. Ann is survived by her daughters, Denise J. Mustico of Elmira with special friend David Koenig and her children, Brian Mustico of Dallas TX and Sarah (Ryan) Woodward of Horseheads; Susan J. Moore of Corning with her husband J. Patrick and son Jared (Jenna) Moore of Binghamton; great grandchildren, Trent and Trace Woodward; sister Catherine Sharak of Syracuse; sisters-in-law, Marjorie Lewish, Diane Lewish; stepchildren Sheila Upjohn, Michelle Sacco and Sean Cassidy; along with several nieces and nephews. Ann was a long time communicant of St. Casimir's Church and was a member of the Ladies of Charity. Ann enjoyed following baseball and was an avid Boston Red Sox fan. When her girls were growing up Ann was a Girl Scout Leader. Ann retired from the Chemung County Health Department after many years of service. Friends are invited to McInerny Funeral Home, 502 W. Water Street, Elmira, on Monday, May 8, 2017 from 11:30 a.m. to 1:15 p.m. A funeral service will follow at 1:30 p.m. Interment, with committal prayers, will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery, Horseheads. Ann's family extends their sincere appreciation to the 2nd floor staff at the Chemung County Nursing Facility for the wonderful care they provided Ann for the past 8 years.
