Angeline Popovich

Age 97, passed away peacefully at the Arnot Ogden Medical Center on Monday, September 11, 2023. Angeline was born and raised in Elmira, the last surviving of 13 children born to Liberto and Elizabeth (Scarinci) Baccile. She was predeceased by her husband Stephen Popovich. Angeline is survived by numerous nieces and nephews. She had worked for many years at the Department of the Navy in Washington DC as a clerical stenographer. She was a devout Catholic and had been a longtime communicant of St. Casimir’s Church.

Family and friends are invited to a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Patrick’s Church on Friday, September 15, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. Committal prayers and interment will follow at St. Peter & Paul’s Cemetery.
