Age 66, passed away at the Arnot Ogden Medical Center on November 3, 2025. Allison was born and raised in Elmira, a daughter of the late Harlan “Ike” Wade and Arlene Mowry Wade. She was also predeceased by her brother Randy Wade. Allison is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Kaitlyn and Mark Dittmar of Glenville NY with their daughters, Zoeanne and Elanor; daughter Kristen Harper with Michael Converse of Rochester NY; brothers, John and Sean Wade; sister Judy Wade; special cousin and good friend Laura Lagonegro; several nieces, nephews, other cousins and many friends. She also leaves behind her precious canine companion Lulu.
Allison was a 1977 graduate of Southside High School, where she made lifelong friendships she treasured. She worked as a teaching assistant in the Elmira City School District for over 25 years, where she became a mentor and role model to both staff and students—earning the affectionate nickname “Mama.” Her kindness and guidance left a lasting impact on everyone she met. Allison adored time with her family and friends and especially loved being “Mimi” to her grandchildren. Allison found peace and happiness in simple pleasures—relaxing by the water, whether at a pool or the beach, and surrounding herself with those she loved most. Known for her thoughtful gift-giving, Allison’s greatest gift was the love she shared—a love that will live on in her daughters, granddaughters, and all who were fortunate to know her.
