Alice Rogers

Alice Marie Rogers Elmira: Age 95, passed away Monday, August 1, 2011. Alice was born in Sayre, PA on June 8, 1916, a daughter of Guy and Eleanor (Erle) Slater. She is predeceased by her husband Wesley W. Rogers; brothers, Arthur and Leonard Slater; and son-in-law Bobby Robinson. Alice is survived by her children, Guy A. Rogers of Horseheads with wife Cynthia; Eleanor E. Smith of Erin, with husband Wade; Rita M. Robinson of Elmira; sister Ethel Baccile of Corning; sister-in-law Ina Slater of Elmira; along with 12 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great grandson, and 1 grand dog, Sabastian. Friends are invited to McInerny Funeral Home, corner of W. Water and Walnut Sts., on Wednesday, August 3, 2011 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:15 p.m. A funeral service will follow at 8:30 p.m., with Deacon George Welch officiating. Interment will take place at Woodlawn Cemetery on Thursday, August 4, 2011.
