Alexander Laviola

Age 22, of Horseheads, went to be with his Lord on Saturday, August 13, 2016. Alex is survived by his mother Maureen R. Swartwood of Elmira, with Andrew Fife; father Stephen M. LaViola of Horseheads, with Terry Levels; sister Megan R. LaViola of Horseheads; maternal grandparents, Gene and Patricia Hauber of Elmira; paternal grandparents, Frank and Adele LaViola of Erin NY; several aunts, uncles, cousins and a host of good friends. Alex was a 2011 graduate of Horseheads High School. He attended the University at Buffalo where he was initiated into, and served as an exemplary Brother of the Epsilon-Omicron Chapter of The Sigma Pi Fraternity International. He had a loving heart and a great sense of humor. Alex loved his family very much. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Family and friends are invited to call at St. Patrick's Church, 604 Park Place, Elmira, on Tuesday, August 16, 2016 from 3:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. A funeral service will follow at 6:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers those wishing may remember Alex with a donation to a charity of their choice.
