Theodore K.
Bowen
“Ted”
Elmira: Born April 13, 1948 in Syracuse, NY. On Saturday, September 17, 2011, Ted’s heroic
15-year battle with cancer came to an end and he went to his rest with
Christ. Ted’s good humor, courage and
grace throughout his battle were an inspiration to those who knew him. He was principal of Thomas
Edison High
School in Elmira
Heights from 1987 to his
retirement in 2003. Ted was a passionate
golfer and spent many happy hours at Corning County Club, where he served as club
president and board member. As much as
he loved being on the golf course his true passion was spending time with his
immediate and extended family.
Ted
is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Eileen Lane Bowen; daughter and
son-in-law, Robin and Greg Tombline with their son Joshua; brothers and
sisters, Nancy (Walter) McKeen, Pamela Bowen, Daniel (Patty) Bowen, Phillip
Bowen and Terry (Bruce) White; along with a large, loving extended family.
Ted
will be missed by everyone who knew and loved him.
