Ruth Demler Straubinger

Age 92, of Horseheads, died Friday, January 22, 2010 at Arnot Ogden Medical Center. Ruth was born May 29, 1917 in Buffalo, NY, daughter of George Demler and Elizabeth Krohn Demler. She is predeceased by her husband Joseph P. Straubinger, brother Norbert Demler, sister and brother-in-law, Marie and George Bork. Ruth is survived by her daughter Linda R. Roessler, with husband Barry, of Elmira; daughter Deborah Straubinger, with husband Mark Conway, of NYC; grandchildren, Adam (Kristen) Roessler, Debra (Sharkee Niemi) Roessler, Elizabeth Roessler, Alexandra Conway; great-grandchildren, Aidan, Riley, and Miles Roessler; sister-in-law Mary Ann Demler; along with many nieces and nephews. Committal services will take place in Cheektowaga, NY at Our Lady Help of Christians Cemetery. A Memorial Service will be held at Park Church, Elmira, in February on a day and time to be announced. In lieu of flowers those wishing may remember Ruth with a donation to a charity of your choice.
