Roy A. Savino

Elmira: Passed away on Saturday, January 7, 2012 at St. Joseph’s Hospital after a brief illness. Roy was born in Elmira on February 6, 1936, a son of the late Rocco and Mary DiFabio Savino. He is also predeceased by sister Mary “Babe” Savino Agan, infant sister Antoinette Savino, sisters-in-law, Janet Savino and Betty Savino, brother-in-law V. Thomas Agan. Roy is survived by his wife of 49 years, Susan Agan Savino; brothers and sister-in-law, Francis V. Savino and Joseph A. Savino both of Elmira, Dennis and Diane Savino of Florida; sisters and brothers-in-law, Blanche and James Pirozzolo of Horseheads, Theresa and William Gamer of Penfield NY, Linda and James Collins of Elmira; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, James F. Agan of Elmira, Eugene F. and Marian Agan of Granville OH, Patricia Agan Mailey with husband Thomas of Horseheads, Patrick Agan with Dennis Dumont of Colorado, Ann Marie Wagner of Bradenton FL. Also surviving are numerous nieces and nephews.

As per Roy’s request there will be no calling hours. Family and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Wednesday, January 11, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. in St. Patrick’s Church. Burial will be at St. Peter & Paul’s Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations in Roy’s memory may be directed to the Dominican Monastery, 1310 W. Church St., Elmira NY 14905.
